Built in Nepal, for Nepal's schools
We started Vidyalaya because we watched brilliant educators lose their evenings to registers and paperwork. Technology should give that time back.
From a Kathmandu classroom to 400+ schools
In 2021, our founders — a teacher and two engineers — spent a term inside a Kathmandu secondary school, watching how the day really ran. Attendance was on paper. Marks lived in a dozen notebooks. Circulars went missing. Parents heard about a problem weeks after it happened.
We built the first version of Vidyalaya for that one school. Within a term, teachers were finishing marksheets in an evening and parents were reading notices before lunch. Word spread. Today Vidyalaya runs the daily operations of more than 400 schools and colleges across Nepal.
We're still guided by the same belief: software for schools should be calm, clear and genuinely helpful — never one more thing to fight with.
What we believe
Teachers first
If it doesn't save a teacher time, it doesn't ship. Every feature earns its place on the busiest days.
Clarity over clutter
Powerful doesn't have to mean complicated. We fight for the simplest thing that works.
Trust is earned daily
Schools hold sensitive data. We protect it with encryption, backups and honest support.
